The Smokin Pig BBQ Joint is just the place you have been looking for to enjoy a true southern barbecue sandwich. Located at 3986 Highway 17 in Richmond Hill. They received the Trip Advisor certificate of excellence in 2013. The Smokin Pig BBQ Joint is right off of I-95 at exit 87, which makes it the perfect lunch or dinner stopping point during your trip. The meat always has the perfect amount of smokey flavor with a minimal amount of fat. The meat is also never dried out like some other barbecue places. My favorite part of this restaurant is the fact they don’t put sauce on their meat. The Smokin Pig has a wide variety of sauces that you can put on your sandwich yourself. Maybe you like your barbecue with a little kick. Or maybe you like it with more of a vinegar flavor. Whatever you choose, you can never have too much or too little sauce since you are in charge! The baby back ribs are fall off the bone delicious. Make sure you check out some of there sides while you enjoy your new favorite barbecue sandwich. The cole slaw is delicious and the macaroni and cheese is to die for. This is the perfect place to bring your out-of-town friends so they too can experience what great Georgia barbecue is all about. The Smokin Pig BBQ Joint is definitely a hole in the wall barbecue spot located right next to a gas station. The inside gives you a country feel and the service is very good. The food comes out quickly and employees are very friendly. If it is available when you stop in, the banana pudding is quite amazing. You will not be disappointed. The brunswick stew is a good choice if you are looking for something a little bit different. However, I would really suggest you try the beef brisket. The prices at Smokin Pig are pretty comparable to other barbecue joints. Personally i would rather spend a little more and get a better quality barbecue. Just remember its located right next to a gas station so you may miss it. Put it in your GPS so you will be sure not to drive right past it. You won’t regret a trip to the Smokin Pig BBQ Joint!
